While working with NASS, I have taking a creative writing class to improve my writing ability. I have also taking Calculus I, II, and III to build on my math skills. I am on track to receive a master’s in Management at Belhaven University in July of 2010. I realize that, in order for a student to want to learn, the subject must be presented to them in an interesting way. I know I have the ability to make the subject relative to the child in a way that is both easy-to-understand, yet effective. I am extremely patient, enthuastic, and truly love the subject of English. The idea of helping a child who struggles with English or just doesn't like it in general appeals to me greatly. A Little Bit About Me...

As a college graduate, I have taken several courses to enhance my knowledge base in education. I have earned a BS in Elementary Education with endorsements in Reading and Special Education and a MS in Secondary Education with an endorsement in Guidance Education. I will be graduating in May with a Specialist in Education degree. As a public school educator, I teach in a self-contained setting. I teach Reading, Language, Spelling, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies everyday.
I love teaching as a facilitator. I want my students to be engaged and explore in the classroom. I actively seek ways to meet the needs of all students; I feel that each has something to offer. I encourage my students to take ownership in their learning and appreciate how important it is.
