Social Skills Support!!!

I have been teaching children on the autism spectrum in the Leander Independent School District for the last 5 years. I have taught students of varying needs on the autism spectrum ranging from social needs to severe behavior and academic support. As a recent graduate of the University of Texas Autism and Developmental Disabilities masters program I am very up to date with current research-based interventions for students with autism. I have seven years of experience teaching general education in elementary schools, with one year of experience in 4th grade, two years in 3rd grade, and four years in 2nd grade. I have worked with children with special needs including autism, ADD/ADHD, and dyslexia. I recently completed my Masters in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism Intervention, along with a Behavior Analysis certification, at the University of North Texas. I graduated in 2004 from the University of Oklahoma with my Bachelors in Business Administration. I regularly helped my fellow students survive the academic rigors of Business School. In 2009 I graduated from Texas Christian University with my Masters of Divinity. This degree was heavy in reading and writing. I have also worked for the last six years with teenagers, and as a result I have a great passion for working with them.
