I recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in Statistics and a Certificate in Computing which is one step down from a minor. The statistics degree program had a heavy emphasis in mathematics, so a lot of my course work contained math classes. College Student Eager to Tutor

I tutored at my high school for three years and have been surrounded by teachers my whole life. I am about to start tutoring at my college this summer and continue into the fall part time. I am patient and understanding. I have taken a few education classes and several math classes, both lower and upper level.

A Little Bit About Me...

My strongest suit in my teaching style is probably the many ways that I would approach teaching a certain principle. If the student does not understand one way to approach a problem, I try to best to help them understand and learn another way. I feel like since everyone learns differently, a tutor should approach a problem from as many angles as possible. My teaching style is also very patient. I suppose the saying "give a man a fish, feed him for a day, teach a man how to fish, feed him for a lifetime" would apply to my style. I try to make sure the student understands the principles behind the type of problem and not just how to do the one problem.
