My comments on tutoring Poetry : 5 years of poetry experience, several pieces published over the past three years.

I've been involved in the arts since high school, and I graduated summa cum laude from one of the top arts colleges in the world, Savannah College of Art and Design. I earned a B.F.A in illustration, which I'm currently using to illustrate a series of graphic novels. I also have over 19 years of dance experience, had my poetry and short stories published numerous times, and enjoy working with others on things that we share a passion for.
I prefer hands on, a back-and-forth style of learning where both I and the student have something to offer to the session. I like input from my students, and like including real world examples and application of the skills I'm teaching.

I Want You to Believe in You!

I like to use the Socratic method, mainly by asking questions and challenging assumptions. In addition, I like to engage those I teach, challenging them to think about what they previously have not considered. I believe in building on successes, and offering constructive criticism, where appropriate.
I have mentored various people since 2000, in all types of subjects, including math, science, social sciences, English, writing, literature, and other related subjects. Current college student at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Received 5s (the best score) on both AP writing assessments while in high school. Have never received a grade lower than an A in any writing related class during my academic career. I have a knack for teaching and I tutor my peers and friends in college writing courses. I enjoy being around children and find it easy to teach them the necessary processes to succeed after my services are done. I am also very proficient in the French language, as my mother is from Belgium and I took French 1 through AP in high school.

I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a BA in English Literature.
