While teaching at Maryville Children's Academy in Maryville, Tennessee, I created learning activities for the Kindergarten Readiness and Four Year Old students. Current college student at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Received 5s (the best score) on both AP writing assessments while in high school. Have never received a grade lower than an A in any writing related class during my academic career. I have a knack for teaching and I tutor my peers and friends in college writing courses. I enjoy being around children and find it easy to teach them the necessary processes to succeed after my services are done. I teach on a pyramid style. It is necessary for a child to have a very well defined broad base of early skills to build upon. Any child having difficulty in 3rd grade on in reading or math must remediate the early skills to make progress towards the skills needed to advance to the next grade. I have used groupings/workshops in my classroom to both teach the lacking skills and to demonstrate to students why they are important and show how they support the grade skills being taught.
