I started working in the school system in 2001 volunteering as a tutor for at risk kids. I tutored numerous mathematic course for over 6 years. I have earned a one bachelor degree in biology and hope to earn my second degree in mathematics as well as in education. I have learned to do research and solve proofs. I worked at MUS biology lab under Dr. Gary Ervin for a year and I did research on wetland and plants. I have written numerous research papers and have numerous skills in the labatory. While working to obtain a degree in Elementary Education at the University of Mississippi, I was able to experience a variety of tutoring and instructional techniques in the K-6 grades. Each semester I was assigned to specific grade levels that allowed me to work with instructors and students. I was given opportunities to tutor students throughout the semester through assignments, projects, and volunteering. I love to learn, and love passing that on to others. I am a patient personality, and I may present a problem to a student to evaluate where they are. From there, we can go either backwards or to more advanced work. Education is very important for myself and for my children, and I like to instill that learning takes you further in life than where someone may have not even dreamed.
