I have a Bachelors of Science Degree. Before moving to the Memphis area I lived in Las Vegas, Nevada where I worked for the Clark County School District. I have 15 years total Graphic Design Experience. Three of the years I taught at the High School level. I taught Graphic Communications, Graphic Design I, and Graphic Design II. I have earned a bachelor degrees, BS in agriculture and MS in Agriculture, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and science. My teaching style can best be described as varied! I believe that children learn in numerous ways, so as an educator it is my responsibility to provide multiple experiences - visual, oral, tactile, etc. A person walking by my classroom would see children smiling, working in groups, accomplishing projects, and would hear noise.
After graduating from Vanderbilt University I taught 5th grade for 2 years while working on my Master's at TSU. I then moved to the Knoxville area and taught K until my son was born in 2000. We then moved to Wisconsin where I taught in various after school programs until my 2 children were old enough for preschool. I then went back part time and taught 4 K until my 3rd child was born in 2005. Throughout this entire time I tutored various children ages 8 - 15 years if age.
