My comments on tutoring Language Arts : I have tutored Language Arts to children and adults - especially those of ESL persuasion. LA often is in conjunction with ESL/Conversational English tutorials.

Hello! I earned my Bachelor of Arts in psychology (3.5 GPA) in 2012 and have been tutoring English; ESL; reading; writing; and more for 8 years. I began as a volunteer through my university's writing lab, per recommendation by a cherished professor. I have worked with children and adults from a variety of cultures (South Korean; Venezuelan; Mexican; Turkish), and I have enjoyed playing the role of "student" in my own regard. I love to learn about other traditions and practices. One of the most rewarding experiences for me as a tutor was when I worked with a South Korean family for 1 year. Successful test prep retired English teacher

I recently retired from the HOPE School of Hamilton City Schools. The HOPE School is a credit recovery school that helps students get caught up for graduation. Students who are too far behind to complete graduation in a timely manner are given GED tutoring. I was in charge of this tutoring and tutoring for state standards tests. We had a 100% success rate in these areas.

A Little Bit About Me...

I just graduated from Miami University with a degree in Middle Childhood Education with a focus in Language Arts and Social Studies. I have had experience both tutoring individual students, a group setting, and developing students success in a classroom environment. I have been involved in Big Brothers/Big Sisters after school program in high school and have a lot of experience dealing with all types of students.
