A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently enrolled at Walden University finishing up my PhD in Clinical Psychology-(Teaching component); I am working on My dissertation for my PhD in Psychology from NorthCentral University. I have been working with online students for over ten years helping them with reading, math and other studies. At times there maybe a need to meet in person if the student is having a hard time grasping the information via internet. When I substitute for a teacher, I want to see a lesson plan. I do not want to be the classroom babysitter. If there is no plan for the day I involve the students in making one. I'm currently working on obtaining my teaching certificate, to go along with my bachelors degree in Social Science. Hopefully, I will be able to go on to receive my Masters in Education. I have been able to tutor students in reading, sentence structure, English and American history.
I love teaching and interacting with today's young kids. They fascinate me. Every child has different learning systems and sometimes it takes several tries to reach that special spot that opens the child's eyes to what excites them about learning.
