A Little Bit About Me...

My style has always been to encourage questions from the student or with the many people who have worked for me over the years to challenge the status quo. I encourage individuals to stretch the envelope and to seek different solutions rather than accept what has been done before. I have also stressed that there is never a bad question or wrong to think outside the box. For example I have always asked students, "Why study history?" What I relish now,is that many respond, "To learn how we got here." Communication is the key and it is very important for the student to trust and respect the relationship that develops between student and tutor. With out this trust learning becomes very difficult.

I just graduated from Siena Heights University in December of 2010. I majored in social studies education and minored in math education. I took education classes and acquired over 250 hours of field experiece through out my time at Siena. I did my student teaching at St. John's Academy in the falls of 2010. I played baseball at Siena Heights University as well.
Throughout my undergraduate career, I have come to realize that I try to be gentle but firm with the students.
