A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching is so rewarding, there's nothing better than helping someone understand something they have struggled with in the past. I am a very patient person who loves to work with people. I also enjoy helping people overcome challenges. For example: when I worked at the accounting office my specialty was dealing with clients who had or have issues with the IRS. It was my favorite part of the job, especially when the issue was resolved! My teaching style is different for different people, everyone learns differently. The trick is to help people figure out the best way for them to catch on and retain the information. After finishing my masters I hope to teach at the high school or college level.

Though I graduated with a BS in Secondary English Education, I have tutored and worked with students from elementary to secondary levels. From 2003-2008 I taught English and a little Spanish in both public and private schools, endeavoring to give my fullest and best to teaching all students who came across my path. Teaching in a U.S. public school and at a private institution overseas introduced me to a variety of students from different backgrounds, learning styles, and study habits. I have tutored and given instruction in all areas of English, grammar, literature, writing, English as a second language, and Spanish.
