Learning is a life long process

Encourage self learning as stimulation of mind is utmost necessary.
Have years of experience teaching my siblings their course work including math(algebra + geometry), physics, chemistry, biology. To stimulate mind often provided puzzles; crosswords and scrabble to increase vocabulary. Worked on a variety of course related projects in school as well as college. Mostly a self taught learner, and taught most of my friends before the exams during college on all subjects.

My comments on tutoring Physics : Physics was one of my strongest classes next to chemistry and I never made below an A on an exam. I can break the subject matter down into easily digestible bites, physics is easy once you learn to decipher it.

I graduated from Berry College in May of 2021. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Science with Honors. My major was Animal Science with a minor in chemistry. I have worked on several research projects that are in the process of publication or being prepared for publication. I never made anything below an A on my physics and chemistry classes. My specialty is in animal science, chemistry, and physics. However, I can teach lower to middle level mathematics. I am currently enrolled as a first year veterinary student at the University of Florida.
I am a very personable teacher and I like to modify my teaching approach to each student. I also employ a variety of disciplines to help facilitate a better understanding of the subject being learned.

Physics is one of my top subjects! Physics is right up there with Chemistry and Calculus as one of the most challenging courses that college students face as they enter their freshmen year. However, this subject has perhaps the greatest reward associated with success: Learning physics is the technical equivalent of learning to speak Latin. Although it is rare to find a career that deals with physics in its purest, and most direct form, physics is the language which informs all sciences. Every technical subject that has ever been taught in any school is directly linked to physics - it either informs physical principals (i.e. Calculus) or can be derived from them (i.e. Chemistry). Therefore, I take great pride in my knowledge of Physics, and spare no effort to ensure that you (or your student) understand the principals therein... It is that important of a subject!

Greetings one and all! My name is Tristan, and I am a recent graduate of the University of Florida's College of Engineering as of August 2012. I graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Nuclear Engineering and a cumulative GPA of 3.25 (and I will tell you that I earned every point of it). I am looking forward to using my knowledge and proficiency in various fields of math and science to make your four year slog through the rigors of academia as palpable as possible. I offer flexible hours, friendly demeanor, and a patient approach to tutoring that caters to your individual skill set. All of this comes at a reasonable price, which can of course be negotiated to suit your budget (remember, I was once a broke college student too). In short: I work with you, for you, and on your terms! I offer tutelage in many technical disciplines: Math, Science, and Engineering are my b ... read more

Physics is one of my top subjects!

I am particularly looking for younger students, ranging from completely new to chess or the beginner looking to make advancements to the next level. I am prepared to offer the student plenty of my time and dedication; I will teach them the rules, standard opening theory, endgame theory, tactical concepts, and of course strategy in the middlegame. I will present them with grandmaster games, and show them the winning logic behind moves. If they wish, I will be glad to review and analyze any games that they played with them and optionally with computer assistance.

I respect children because I find I can learn just as much from them as they can from me. I believe an important step in becoming a good student is self-confidence; because of this, I try to be as motivating and encouraging as possible to my students. I also try to make learning fun, highlighting how interesting a certain concept may be or how practical it is to daily life. I am patient and friendly, so that students can feel comfortable with me and not feel shy to tell me when they do not understand something. My goals are 1) to help students enjoy learning and 2) to help students realize that with hard work and dedication they can accomplish their goals.

I have a B.S in Animal Biology. I have had to take extensive science and math courses. Additionally, I have extensive experience working with children. Especially those that are from low income families and different cultures. I have volunteered tutoring children after school. Additionally, I have taken several classes about learning styles, teaching styles, and study skills to improve my own academic achievement. This allows me to better communicate information in the different ways needed. Following, I have experience working with children with learning disabilities, particularly autism.
I really like working with children from low income families. I think each child has a different interest and way of learning. I try to discover these learning styles before I begin the tutoring process. I try to allow them to be comfortable and having fun during our sessions. Most of t ... read more

I enjoy teaching because it allows me to contribute to a student's understanding of invaluable concepts which will improve and enrich their lives. I am sociable and easy to talk to, and I remember what it was like being in school and struggling with difficult concepts. All students can learn, and I believe that the key is finding a way for each individual student to personally relate to the material. If difficult concepts can be presented in a way that is tailored to each student's specific needs and interests, their potential may be reached.
As a graduate of the University of Florida, I earned two bachelor's degrees. My double major, Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering, provided me with a thorough understanding of mathematics, physics, and chemistry. I also have a solid foundation in grammar and technical writing, due to the need for extensive explanation of diff ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I consider myself to be a very good people person. I have a way of relating to the students that I'm helping. As mentioned above, my students respect me and see that I am serious and focused on helping them succeed in their studies. I look forward to helping any student achieve a sense of accomplishment in learning.
I spent some time in college tutoring other students in subjects such as mathematics and Hebrew. I was asked by the academic support office to tutor because my advisor knew I was a committed student with a strong knowledge of many subjects. I was honored to be thought of in such a way. I did well with my students and they respected me. I was serious about accomplishing the tasks at hand when I met with them and the overall reflection in their grades showed very positive results. More About This Tutor...

I am a very enthusiastic tutor and, as I stated in the previous section, believe teaching in such a way that the student gains a true mastery of the given subject. In a sense, I believe in each student understanding a particular concept in their own unique way that is consistent with their unique thinking processes. I strive to do this by relating a given concept analogously to something the student already fundamentally understands. I also create new problems to solve that probe the students’ progress and comprehension. I try to make these problems as realistic as possible to make them interesting to the student.
Being a Ph.D. candidate and appointed research assistant, I very much realize the importance of true comprehension of a subject. Not only do I hold two B.S. degrees in Applied Mathematics and Chemical Engineering but I also carry credits to the equivalent of a Non-Th ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy guiding pupils through the journey of “ah-ha” moments. That initial expression of joy and true understanding is my fuel for teaching. Whether old or young, I believe everyone is more than capable of comprehending any form of information, if presented in the correct fashion. It is my job, as an educator, to find creative approaches to teach my students. Any failure on their part, if they put forth a strong effort, is a direct correlation of the failure of the teaching method, and ultimately the teacher themselves. I don’t enjoy failing; so, the only acceptable solution is success!
Throughout my schooling, I’ve been very driven towards academic excellence. Because of my successes, I skipped 1st and 12th grade to begin college as the youngest freshman of the year at Carnegie Mellon University. I love sitting down with children working with them where they ask sometimes some out of topic questions where they make you think what really are in their mind.Sometimes, they ask some intelligent questions that make you take time to answer as i remember when i used to volunteer in chemistry. I will be a good asset to teaching cause i am patient, easy going, and considerate. I will bring to your table what i have learned from my years at University of Florida.

My teaching style is to make the subject easy for the comprehension of the students. I normally give homeworks. Students must do these homeworks. I judge their understanding from the way they solve the homeworks.
I have two types of degrees, one in Physics and two in Engineering. That enabled me to teach a wide range of subjects. I was a very popular teacher in the four universities in Baghdad. Some of my students are now professors at the US universities.
