I have two years experience teaching high school physics and chemistry plus one semeester student teaching chemistry and algebra in addition to 17 years experience as an automotive engineer. I hold a masters degree in education (majors in chemistry and math and a minor in physics) and a masters degree in science with a major in chemical engineering. I am certified to teach math, chemistry and physics.
I believe in teaching to understanding. I try to guide the student through the process in question in ways that facilitate understanding rather than simply copying steps to get an answer. I beleive that the material must be taught in ways that are relevent to the student.
