I graduated with a BA from Rhode Island College in 2005, and went back to work on a MA the following fall. I am currently finishing up my degree and should be finished with my MA this spring. During my graduate career I had an assistantship where I helped set up classroom laboratories, aided in teaching then and also tutored students in Biology. While pursuing my Engineering degree at Roger Williams University, I noticed that there were not too many students from low income families attending college. That is why I joined Bridge to Success Program on January 2001. BTS was a program, sponsored by Roger Williams University at the time, which focused in assisting and encouraging students from low income families as well as minorities. I served as a mentor for five years in the program. I helped a number of students go into college and helped them improved their grades in math and science.
