Hate busywork? Me too! Why not make it MATTER?!

I began my teaching career even before graduating High School. I started volunteering my time with homework help and study skills at the local Boys and Girls Club when I was 16 followed by teaching Remedial English to a small group of ELL students at a partnering elementary school. During college, I continued my passion by joining an organization that teaches life and social skills to developmentally delayed young adults. Art tutor, Homework tutor, Learning facilitator!

I work best one-on-one or in small groups, I can adjust my style to what a person needs after speaking with them for a while and understanding how they learn. I've found the best way to teach someone a new way of looking at something is to understand how they currently perceive it.
I have worked in art and graphic design professionally for the past 6 years, however I have been freelancing and creating art for myself since 1998. I previously worked for the Hayward Area Historical Society, which included assisting in design for exhibits as well as some teaching to visiting school groups.
