Through my educational studies and life experiences I have gained a firm grasp and appreciation for Mandarin Chinese and Chinese culture. Mandarin Chinese - I use Total Physical Response Teaching (TPRS) when teaching elementary aged novice learners, which teaches Chinese as well as American Sign Language. After graduation from college in Texas I taught high school math in Brownsville, Texas for 4 years. I moved to Dallas and taught math in Richardson for 8 more years before we moved to California. I chose to home school my own children in all subjects for grades 1-12. They are now both honor students at there respective universities.
