A Little Bit About Me...

I have been in the teaching field for 2 years now and I love it. Although I've taught during VBS and other church functions, I have been in the Gadsden County School District for 2 years. I enjoy teaching. It is my passion. I believe that all children can learn with the guided instruction, love, and attention. I have taught in the Elementary filed until the recent budget cuts. I have a temporary certificate that doesn't expire until 2009, but I'm not giving up hope. I only have one more test to take to receive my permanent and I'm not giving up the fight. I am a graduate of Florida A&M University with a BS in Political Science, I am currently completing my MA degree at Barry Univeristy in Tallahassee, Fla. I was a Resource Teacher and wokred in the Innovation School of Execellence. I was Executive Director at a Christian Academy in Live Oak, Florida. I was also Director of the SES program (that was a sub-site)at our academy. I staffed 15 employees, 5 of which was retired accredited teacher. I also taught in our SES program.

This program was school-based and involved working with at-risk middle school students at Wakulla Middle School. My duties included instructing 12-26 students in 6th-8th grade in social skills, behavior improvement, drug prevention, and study groups/tutoring sessions.
