I have a good experience of tutoring hundreds of students over a decade period of time. I have tutored from first grade student to bachelors' degree students. I have formally taught students from grades four to ten for six months as a science teacher. Recently, I helped my wife in Anatomy and Physiology I and II and Lab and College Algebra. In the past two years I have learned that one set teaching style does not work for everyone. I feel it is important to first figure out how the individual learns most effective, and then gear my teaching style around their strengths. Though some methods may change I do believe some main points are very important. A student needs to do the work they are assigned, whether it is from their teacher or me as a tutor. Students who do not do their work are severely hurting themselves. Also, I believe that students will learn best from questions that they develop themselves.
