I have children who are twenty one, seven, six, four, and two, as well as a granddaughter who is three. I am a retired law enforcement professional. I returned to college and earned a B.S. in Education in2004. Currently I am enrolled in a graduate program in leadership at Duquesne University and have completed 18 hours of that program. I will graduate with a M.S. in Leadership in December, 2010. I hope to enter the Doctorate of Educational Leadership at the University of Missouri in June, 2011. While working part time as a law enforcement instructor, I fell in love with teaching. I am a very patient teacher. If it seems someone is 'just not getting it' I will try a different approach. People learn at different levels, and what works for one does not always work for another; therefore,finding the way for each individual student is the key. I have also found that most people learn a task by 'hands on' learning, not listening to how it should be done.
