When I was laid off, I had always wanted to try teaching and I loved it. I love working with kids (I also coach baseball and football), I really get a kick out of passing my knowledge onto them and seeing their face when it sinks in.
Math to me is like a puzzle... if you can imagine the pieces in your mind, fitting them together in practice is so much easier. Not all students learn in the same fashion, and that must be considered in planning and implementing lessons.
