A Little Bit About Me...

As an educator and mother, I have learned to be patience with kids and that is important for a teacher. Some kids require more time to learn than others do. I am persistence, tolerant, and love to challenge their little minds with didactic games. I think that listening to children is important to understand their needs. I also believe that sometimes leaning and fun can go hand and hand, and having a sense of humor sometimes makes things easier. Kids love to learn new things and so do I. A Little Bit About Me...

As a recent college graduate, I feel I have achieved a level of experience that allows me to share my knowledge with others. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications Arts, which gives me the ability to master communicating with others and furthermore - teaching others. I have worked at an after school program and as a babysitter for a total of 5 years so I am experienced at tutoring. I worked as a choreographer for 5 years as well - which shows my teaching experience and dance experience.
I love teaching and watching children succeed. All children learn differently, which is why I alter my teaching techniques based on their learning methods. I figure out what suits them best and than use that method to teach them. In my opinion this achieves a high success rate.

I am a firm believer that if a student is allowed and taught to think independently, they will discover their own way of learning. Each student is different in the way in which they tackle various subjects, it is important as the educator to understand that approach and encourage the student to discover learning through that approach. Some students are kinetic learners, some are visual learners while others are aural learners; it is vital that the instructor be able to teach in all of those areas.
