Want a laid back but knowledgable tutor?

I have tutored for different Universities in the fields of: Biology, Organic Chemistries, Physiology, Anatomy, Zoology. I taught Organic Chemistry lectures and labs at the University of West Alabama. I will also have a minor in Physics, and a B.S. in Chemical and Biological Engineering by the Fall of 2013. I have been a Regional Science Fair judge in the field of Biochemistry. I have presented research for the Alabama Academy of Sciences and the Association of Southestern Biologists. Also, I worked as a Process Engineer intern for BP Petrochemicals this summer (2012).
I prefer to start off by making sure that students understand all underlying concepts related to the material in interests. Afterwards, I like to explain the material just as if I were teaching it, or allow students to ask questions of which trouble them most.

My comments on tutoring Genetics : I have taken many genetics courses in my college career and also taught this subject in review courses as well as major level biology labs at the University of Alabama.

I received my Bachelor's and Masters degree in Biology from The University of Alabama. I was placed on the President's List for two semesters and the Dean's List for six semesters. I was in the pre-health honor society Alpha Epsilon Delta. I am very experienced and knowledgeable in many science subjects such as Anatomy, Biology, Genetics, Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. I had the privilege of teaching two major-level biology labs at the university as well as teaching MCAT review sessions. I have recently applied to medical school and received a high score on the MCAT.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a University of Alabama graduate, I was very driven to achieve a high level of excellence in Biological sciences and math. I hold a degree in Environmental science, which enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and science such as chemistry, biology, geology, and geography. In addition, I have learned extensive grammatical skills due to writing research papers and laboratory reports, along with essays in many various areas of study.
