Sign Language is one of my top subjects! Master's of Education-Hearing Impaired/Deafness. 15 years instructional experience in total communication settings, Alabama School for the Deaf, Mississippi School for the Deaf, and Prairie View Home of the Chicago Center on Deafness. Now retired, once a member and officer of Alabama Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf. I consider myself fluent, expressive and receptive in several sign language forms. Best is pidgen Sign, a jumble of ASL and Straight English, depending on the sudience. Also comfortable with ASL and SEE I and SEE II. Deaf family members have me regularly signing.

Prefer to meet one-on-one or small group instruction in a neutral location, such as a library or eatery. I am very flexible to adapt to change to the needs of the student.
I have retred after 33 years of teaching. 32 years of primarily teaching history or social studies subjects. I also have 15 years of teaching in schools for the deaf, there is some overlap of deaf education and social studies education. I am National Board Certified as a teacher. I am a fluent ASL and Sign Language user.
