I have Algebra One and the Principles of Physics. In a small private school, there were two students who were failing at the end of the semester. With the permission of the headmaster and the parents, I gave each of them a grade of "Incomplete" and then tutored them through the Summer until they could each pass the final exam. They both earned B- grades and, more importantly, succeeded in Algebra Two.

My comments on tutoring Algebra I : I was a math major at Cornell and have been tutoring algebra i for five years.

I have logged over 5,000 hours of tutoring in the last four years. I have worked for a game company, which taught me how to approach tests as a contest between student and test-maker, and my extensive background as a writer gives me practical experience when it comes to teaching English and related subjects. Chinese speaking/listening/reading/writing

No experience teaching Chinese as a FOREIGN language. But I do speak Chinese fluently and be able to communicate in English and Chinese. and I did teach Chinese to people who already SPEAK Chinese. I have learned Chinese for over 10 years and speak Chinese since the day I figured out how to speak. And finding a native speaker who isn't inflexible is the best choice you can make.
I think we'll watch Chinese TV together and go to some field trips to gain your confidence speaking Chinese to native speakers. And sometimes worksheets for learning Chinese characters/ writing but they'll not be boring. We will also go online learning some phrases people would use online.

Your friendly neighborhood physicist

I like to stay relaxed and have fun, telling a few jokes along the way. It's hard to learn things if you're not interested, and even more so if you're struggling with it! I push students a bit once I'm sure they understand something, and I always try to get them to be at their very best.
