There is nothing more I want to do with my life than care for others, which gives me a certain drive to help any and all individuals succeed in any way that I can. Assisting students to achieve their full potential is something that I have done in the past and look forward to doing in the future. I participated in the Gateway Program at my University, tutoring students on the subject of their choice. I have earned a Bachelor degree in Psychology, including courses in Biology, Chemistry, and statistics. Everyone has style of teaching that is unique. Mine is at first appearance very laid back, but on closer inspection is very powerful and extremely effective in the long run. My strategy as a teacher is to study and assess a student first, then to develop a plan with the student regarding how we should approach a task or problem. I am big on having students develop a stronger internal locus of control, empowering them to feel capable to tackle anything that they might encounter with or without the help of others.
