My teaching style will always be based on the students learning style. I have been tutoring grades K-9 for quite a few years. I've also taught a preschool class while in high school. I am currently majoring in Early Childhood Education and Special education at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Since obtaining my Master’s degree I have had the opportunity to work in coaching and reading specialist positions. This entailed working with both experienced and beginning teachers and students. Through cognitive coaching I formed relationships with these teachers, which allowed me to share my knowledge of best teaching practices in the reading content. My teaching style is to have a set of problems made up for the students to observe as examples to help understand certain chapters. I will assign additional problems if needed and focus on the subject matter that is the hardest for the individual to understand. I have taken statistics and gotten an A in the course and still have all course materials to give a general overview of statistics and how to use SPSS. I am knowledgeable on the software and would be able to answer questions on statistics because of how well I did and how I used to help others who struggled with the class.

I am currently a graduate student in petroleum engineering. As an undergrad I worked as a mentor for a freshman in my major, helping him cope with school and advising him of the courses he needs to take. I also provide tutoring when needed. In high school I was part of a program called PEPP where high school students provided tutoring to middle school students. I was also involved in a program developed by my school's Honor Society where we tutor our peers in math and science courses. Additionally, I was a summer camp counselor for three summers and I was responsible for coordinating various activities for the children each week.
