I have been a tutor before in person and am used to working with young and older kids. As I am currently a Biology Major in Undergrad I believe I am a good fit to tutor anyone younger than me or around my age. My comments on tutoring Poetry : I am NYS certified in Literacy (grades 5-12) and English (grades 7-12), although I have several years of experience with children as young as Kindergarten.

Holding active NYS certifications in both English and Literacy has had a tremendous impact on the way I teach. I find myself much better able to engage struggling students. Quite often, particularly when it comes to reading, it is the lack of basic comprehension skills that prevent students from being able to fully engage with a text and to perform critical thinking tasks.
