As a post graduate student I had the opportunity to teach the under graduate medical students about Gross anatomy, clinical anatomy, Genetics, Embryology, Histology and the dissection part. I can also teach Neuro anatomy. I can teach with the specimens for gross anatomy and also with the models of Embryology. I enjoy teaching and I hope this experience is going to help me a lot. I think the most useful tutor emphasizes critical thinking. I have noticed that many students focus on memorization instead of really understanding the processes behind science, math, and foreign languages. I try to focus on how and why things are, rather than just the fact that they are. I believe that this approach provides students with a deep understanding of the material and an ability to problem-solve on their own. They can then develop better comprehension, and tend to be more interested in learning. I graduated with my undergraduate degree in marine biology in 2002 and then worked as a research biologist for two and a half years before returning to school to pursue my master’s degree. I have earned two degrees: a B.S. in Biology and an M.S. in Biology. I have taken a wide range of courses in biology and have a great deal of knowledge about them all. One of my courses required me to teach in a lab. Through this I was able to gain valuable teaching experience and interact with students as well. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of biology with others. I am patient and laid back with students, but I also know when to push them to work harder to achieve their goals.
