I would begin each lesson with whole class instructions, but once the students began the work, I would move around the room in order to give more focused attention to those that required it. My classroom always focused on personal progress rather than comparisons. I believe that learning is most likely to occur when students believe in their own ability to learn and are able to discuss and reflect on their own learning.

I belong to Mensa and the NCTM, and have excellent English and decent Spanish speaking and writing skills. Generally, I'm a constructivist, and I believe the best method of tutoring is providing a completely individuated scaffold for any student.
