MATH tutor - Experienced math teacher, grades 7-12 & college

I am a very energetic teacher, and I try to incorporate as much FUN into learning as I can. I believe ANY student can learn mathematics, as long as they are patient with themselves and are willing to keep trying. I like to use a wide variety of things, especially technology (graphing calculator), graphics, videos, and hands-on activities whenever I can.
I have 8 years experience teaching high school mathematics in Rutherford County, TN. Teaching is not something I had initially aspired to but found I am a teacher and motivator by nature. I love the challenge of figuring what pieces, educational, each student is missing and helping them fill the their gaps to reach the next level and have things come together for them. I am very patient and try to make each session fun and interesting. My students and work associates have always enjoyed working with me and I like feeling/knowing that we all came away with something we didn't start with.

I would look for the background of tutee and tailor my presentation to the level of student. I would correct the deficiency of the student's background before addressing the current subject matter.
