I started out doing nanny work in college. After graduating in 1998, I moved to Detroit, Michigan to pursue a career in language studies. I became the Language Training Director for a language services company. I supervised a teaching staff of 150 instructors who gave language instruction to businessmen and women who were relocating for business purposes. People have all different manners of learning information, and most people need a lot of visuals and real life experiences, especially if their first language is not English. Teachers should be able to get to know each of their students and differentiate their instruction to help all of their students. Tutoring is a great way for teachers to get to know students better and thus better address their needs with quality instruction.
