When I was in elementary school I would help my mother with daycare at our home. I would teach the children new concepts and play with them. During high school I joined the pathfinder club and taught some of the younger children. During college, I tutored elementary children in reading and in math and would make interventions for them. I graduated from Southern Adventist University December 2018 with a bachelors in elementary education. I have spent time substitute teaching in elementary classrooms, working as a behavior teachers assistant, and working at summer camps.

I enjoy working with kids and I enjoy reading to them and helping them read. I have done that with my nephew and little cousins. Reading is so fundamental. I have my MBA and a BS in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Journalism. I mentor young teenage girls showing them that if I can do it so can you. I also tell them how important reading is and how much it will benefit them in college.
My teaching style is patient, if a child is struggling with reading they need someone who can be patient and make it fun. I would also switch it up, we would read something fun first to get them in the pattern of reading and then we would go to their school books...everything has to be done in moderation and I think it will help them learn.
