Put the student at ease since stress does not equate.

Most student difficulties come from a lack in understanding the basics in math. I try to find a starting point to build from there. Because of Covid-19 I now tutor ONLY on-line. I use FaceTime and along with a whiteboard, I create a classroom environment to provide the student total participation. And they all love it.
Bachelor in Electrical Engineering - Cambridge University, England. MSEE - McGill University, Montreal, Canada. I have tutored students for the past 35 years from Grades 5 to 8 in math subjects. I have found that Algebra is a subject that most students have difficulty with and I have specialized in Algebra. I ONLY tutor in math, unlike others that tutor in any subject. I CAN help you. It doesn't matter what they don't know because I believe anyone can be taught anything, at least as long as you have the right teacher and materials at your disposal. I believe students are like little sponges. They're taking in everything around them. Obviously, if you fill their heads with garbage, they will learn garbage. My experience is all in college. I had 9 Labs in college in all my science courses. I excelled very well in my science courses and i keep learning. Did great in my research project class. Played college baseball so i am great with athletes that do not want to study. I can break down big concepts into smaller concepts that is understandable for all students in the academia process. I studied a lot myself to achieve success in college and do well in classes.
Hands on, and more of an application study. I believe that the only way to actually understand something is being able to apply it to real world situations.

I have babysat family friends and neighbors for three years now. I completed two years of Early Childhood Education classes with a built-in VPK. In this program, we designed and taught our own lesson plans for the children in VPK. I have experience working with children ages 3-5 and teaching science, social studies and math skills. I am also certified in CPR.
