A Little Bit About Me...

I love to teach and see the ideas light up the eyes of the person who suddenly got a concept. I think teaching should be adaptable and should fit the learning style of the student. Visual tasks, memory games, and hands-on-learning are, in my opinion, the best way to help someone truly learn (versus rote memory). I think that with the right guidance and put in the right environment, anyone can learn. I look forward to being that "right guidance."
I attended several schools to achieve my undergraduate degrees, both of which I worked hard to excel at the University level. A Little Bit About Me...

As a senior working on my Bachelors in communication. I have worked with many students through the local boys and girls club of sidney, NY tutoring them in English hel them to prepare the proper for writing papers from creating an introduction and a thesis statement, to making thier main points and sub points to writing the summary. I would like to gain more expierence in working with High School students and maybe some College Students who need help in these Areas
MY teaching style is to work with those who need my help. I believe that anyone can be taught and that sometimes it is just a question of developing thier self esteem to believe in themselves. After graduating from high school as valedictorian, I earned a Zoology BS and a Studio Art BA from SUNY Oswego, successfully completing English composition, speech, visual arts, biology, zoology, chemistry, Spanish, and calculus II courses, and graduated with a 3.76 GPA. Prior, I had taken and earned over a 90% in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and AP calculus. While completing an MFA from WCSU, I began 3 years of service as a tutor with NY GEAR UP of The Research Foundation of SUNY, providing academic assistance to students, grades 9-12th in core and non-core subjects, as well as Regents, SAT, and ACT exam prep.
