I have taught elementary school for 16 years. One year in the Lincoln Country School District and 15 years in the Rockwood School District. I have taught grades 1,2,3 and 5. I served as grade level chair in each grade level, on all subject area commitees, and as teacher's representative to the PTO. I have tutored students for the before and after school program. I am a very patient teacher who treats students with respect. It is my goal to reach all learners and meet their needs from all ability levels and cultural backgrounds. I have been caring for children of all ages for the last 9 years, which includes tutoring and metoring. I am also in my second year as a substitute teacher, in which I teach grades pre-k through 12th grade. I believe that all children want and try to do their best, but sometimes need an extra push. I think it is necessary to use the appropriate curriculum, but to find out what teaching method works best for each student as we all learn differently. It is also important for each child/student to have some flexibility in what they learn in order to express their individuality and own creativity.

I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration in 2003. During the past 10 years I have gained valuable professional experience. I have worked for the public school system as a Technology Assistant, at a prominent Law Firm as a Associate Development Assistant, and most currently at the National Center for Parents as Teachers as a Professional Development Coordinator.
