My teaching style can fluctuate depending on the child and what needs to be accomplished. My goal is to build confidence in the student through small but very important accomplishments. I use a combination of technology and good ole pencil and paper to teach anything from math to reading. Teaching children is something that brings me joy. Watching them make strides and connections in their learning makes me smile. I currently teach preschool to children with many different cognitive, behavioral, medical, sensory, and emotional needs. I tutored elementary students while in high school. I am now an Education major at Midwestern State University and I will graduate in May of 2010. At my last job I helped tutor students and get them ready for test and quizzes etc. I enjoy working with kids I can't think of anything better to do with my time. My teaching style involves getting to know the student as a person first and going from there. Learning how he/she learns something new and what he/she knows and doesn't know quite yet. Every child is different in the way that he/she learns and a person how to figure that out first for a child to be successful.
