Since November 2009, I’ve been teaching general biology at Logan-Hocking High School in Logan, Ohio. I have developed lesson plans, managed classroom learning, doing all the things any other science teacher would. In the summer of 2009, I worked in Albany, New York for the Albany Pine Bush Preserve conducting surveys in the preserve for the endangered Karner Blue Butterfly. All the assigned tasks required knowledge of general biology, especially in plant natural history. I graduated in May 2009 from Muskingum University where I obtained a B.S. in biology. My coursework for this degree included Molecular Biology, Genetics, Conservation Biology, Advanced Botany, Vertebrate Natural History, among others.

As a person who holds an MS degree in Horticulture, possesses excellent interpersonal skills and has a broad and deep knowledge of a variety of subjects, I am very well qualified to help students succeed. Throughout my years in education, I've always relished the opportunity to help children overcome the challenges they face. This has been accomplished through instruction in the classroom in my work at the church and through individual one-on-one study at their home in a variety of subject areas.
