A Little Bit About Me...

I hold a bachelor of science in Biology (cum laude) from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA and attended graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where I studied Molecular and Cell Biology and completed all coursework required of the Ph.D. Since graduate school, I have over 10 years of biology research experience in both academic and biotech settings. My research, teaching and training experience covers the entirety of essential topics in biology and chemistry. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style with my own children is conversational, hands-on, and intuitive. I explore what most captures their attention, then weave in the lessons by using any available teaching aids, such as whiteboard drawings, to illustrate a point, literally.
My German parents spoke (so-called "high", or proper) German at home in NY/NJ, which came in handy after we moved overseas when I was 13. Repeating 7th grade, I learned to read and write German fluently, as well as master the local dialects and sundry colloquialisms without a lingering accent. Doing so allowed me mask my heritage, enroll in higher education, and learn a trade, culminating in a long and rewarding all-encompassing painting career abroad and in the eastern US, before settling in Texas to explore telecommunications. I widely regard the world as a large classroom/laboratory.
