It has been my experience that each student has his/her individuals needs and that each learns differently. Thus, I make a conscious effort to sit down privately with each of my students so that we can address his/her concerns effectively and put together a constructive plan to improve his/her skill set.
As a tutor with Webster University's student literacy corps, I worked with individuals, pre-K-adult, on reading, literacy, and writing skills. I held this position for two years along with a summer position tutoring Algebra and French with HEC Upward Bound, which service at-risk youth. My own style I show a sincere interest in each student, I listen to their needs, aspirations, I tell them what I can do to assist them and I motivate the student to succeed at their own level of competency. My degree in psychology and sociology has been quite helpful through the years.
I am a successful business woman who has taught for the last 15 years. A Little Bit About Me...

I especially enjoy working with students who want to learn, and I truly love math. I know that math concepts are especially difficult for many students to grasp. I feel confident in my approach to assist students in meeting and exceeding their goals. I am a patient, caring person, anxious to make a difference in the lives of my students.
For the past eight years I have worked in a mentor/tutor capacity with focus on mathematics, physics and astronomy. This experience has included college level, high school and middle school students. I enjoy seeing my "students" succeed. I will be graduating in May with a BS in Physics, a BS in Astronomy and a minor in mathematics.
