I like to include technology and real world scenarios when giving instruction. I try to simplify to learning process of math skills. Math consists of rules and formulas that must be followed to be successful. Repetition creates a disciplined mind, which is needed to follow the rules/formulas each and every time it is required.
I have taught Math at the middle level for four years, helping students gain skills and confidence to improve their math performance. I have taught general and advanced Math classes. I earned a bachelor of science degree in chemistry with a minor in math. I worked for US Dept. of Agriculture as a methods development chemist which required a knowledge of chemistry, physics, math and statistics as well as high level computer skills. I have taught classes for over 15 years at Athens Area Technical College, University of Georgia Continuint Education Program and as owner and lead trainer for Athens Computer Training, Inc.
