Creative Writing is one of my top subjects!

I'm patient. I'll try and make my lessons easy to understand. I know how frustrating language arts can be, but I also know how rewarding it can be as well. I can relate very easily to high school students, because I just graduated from high school 5 years ago.
I started tutoring in 2009 through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana. I tutor my "Little" for an hour once a week. I help with whatever subject they need. Pick out what's good and encourage that. It is too easy to focus on the negative. As a writer who understands rejection very well, it has humbled me. Another set of eyes always helps during the editing process. Sometimes a writer just needs to be set on the correct path, and they can do much of the rest from there. Being a parent has also taught me patience, which is something any teacher needs. Also, reading helps you become a better writer. I think when I was younger I didn't want to hear that as much, but it's true.

Teaching patience and fun learning!

I have a lot of experience teaching children in many areas of study and extra curricular activities such as; swimming, art, English, spelling and reading.
