In biology, I have tutored human biology, anatomy, physiology and microbiology for 5 years. Everyone has style of teaching that is unique. Mine is at first appearance very laid back, but on closer inspection is very powerful and extremely effective in the long run. Relaxed but demanding. I try to teach at the level of the class and try to tutor on a one-to-one basis at the students ability. Try to put myself in students perspective. Try to feel out the students perception of Mathematics and then try and tailor the presented material on that basis. Many students take Math because it is required and not worth putting any extra thought other than passing the course. I teach by example and experience as to how the concepts of Math apply to their everyday lives.
