I have taught school for 29 1/2 years in Special Education . My positions were in Preschool Special Needs, Elementary Special Needs, and High School Occupational Course of Study. I have taught in both SC and NC. I love teaching preschool -elementary students. I have always had a passion for teaching because both of my grandmothers and my mother were teachers. Now my 3 sisters are teachers. I try to teach by the style that seems to be the best for that student to learn. I believe that everyone learns information at a different pace and that some information is easier to process than other information. I believe that individuals should be comfortable while learning in order for them to actually learn. While some teachers favor a direct instruction approach, I try to tailor my instruction to the growing and diverse needs of each student.
