A Little Bit About Me...

I received two years of paramedic training at Catawba Valley Community College. I have taught nurses, paramedics and recreational therapists anatomy and physiology for 5 years. I also tutored nursing students in pathophysiology. I received two honors degrees from Western Carolina University, a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (concentration in religious literature) and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I also studied pre-medical sciences, mathematics and Japanese language.

I personally enjoy when teachers draw pictures or diagram examples to clarify complicated topics so I have adapted an active tutoring form. It involves the student to explain and participate in my session to properly get the hands on one to one experience and confidence to correct their mistakes. I like to teach in a relaxed, but complete manner that insures the lesion has been ingrained into the students mind.
