A Little Bit About Me...

Even as a student i helped my fellow students to understand and grasp the subjects they were having difficulty with. i can generaly spinn the information into a subject matter that interests the individual or just explain it in an easier to understand manner, offted they just get lolst in the language of teaching. i minnored in math, and majorred in science and agriculture in high school, ansd took veternary technology in colledge this involved mostly biologies and lab technigues.
i have never taught professionaly, but have assisted fellow students. the methods i useed to help them were ither to incorporate the subject matter into a sumject that they had a personal interest in, or manny time i found that they just didnot understand the language of the subject so i reexplained it in simpler terms and they got it just fine.

A Little Bit About Me...

After receiving a degree in Sociology from a New York State University, I went on to earn a provisional teaching certificate in Biology. I have twenty-one graduate hours in Reading and eleven graduate hours in Early Childhood Education. My previous work experience had me working with families where one adult was in need of a GED. I have tutored students from elementary through high school in every subject (except Foreign Languages) for over ten years. I have also worked with entering BOCES LPN students on math review and raised many of their entry level grades twenty points. As a graduate of one of the top state schools in New York, I have always believed in the importance of education. This allows the students to get a brief introduction to the day’s material before they work in groups on questions about the material. I feel that student’s can learn best from each other because they are all at the same level. If a group is unsure of an answer they can always ask the teacher or look it up in a book.
