Not all students are successful and the trick is to identify the reasons behind the lack of success. The issues that students have with school are diverse; procrastination, lack of organization, failure to plan, lack of awareness, ineffective habits, learning disabilities, and differences are all possible explanations for school failure. I work with students one on one to help them pinpoint where things break down for them and then work with them to find strategies to help them manage the skills and material they are asked to learn and master. My dissertation explored five hypotheses, and I found statistical significance in all five; thereby supporting the notion that adding online instruction to traditional instruction can improve student learning.
