When this does not work, I do not just tell the student what goes where or why this doesn't work, I give reasons and have them tell me these same reasons the next time we come across something that doesn't work.
At SCSU, I work as a writing consultant at the Writing Center on campus. I began my college career in the Institute of Technology at the University of Minnesota. During my five semesters in the program I was able to study calculus and physics. I am familiar with high school level physics and mathematics up to and including pre-calculus. After five semesters at the University I transferred to St. Cloud State University to study economics. I honed my statistical and grammatical skills by writing research papers there. During my time at St. Cloud State University I tutored at St. Cloud Technical and Community College.
