I am a firm believer that all children can learn. Each child needs to chance to find the best learning style for them. Many children struggle with classroom learning because they require a different learning method than the one being offered or more direct attention than a teacher of 20+ students can offer. As a dyslexia therapist I was instructed in a number of different approaches to teaching and how to match each one to an individual student's needs. As a tutor I make it my priority to learn not only which subjects a student needs help with but also why they are struggling at all which allows me to adapt the lesson plan in a way that is easy for them to understand and retain.

I have always had a passion to teach. I have been lucky enough to teach both children and adults. Before moving from Delaware to Atlanta, GA I taught kindergarten. It was rewarding and very fulfilling. When I lived in Atlanta I was fortunate to find an ESL position teaching children and adults. I was hooked!
