A Little Bit About Me...

I want to do my part in society, and make life better for others. I want to reassure children that they can reach their goals. Many children loose confidence in themselves if they have a hard time understanding school material. I want to tutor and restore that confidence. I want to get to know each student and figure out the way that they learn the best. I want to incorporate that into my way of teaching so that they can understand. As a previous Tupelo Public School Spanish teacher, I have six years experience teaching grades four through six.In addition, I received my BS in Social Work from the University of Mississippi where I graduated with honors.My courses have given me extensive preparation in many areas, such as writing and grammatical skills. I have worked as a translator, interpreter, art teacher,and Spanish tutor for students of many age groups, including high school.
My years teaching were thus far the most rewarding times of my life. To see a child's face light up when he/she has that moment of "I get it!", is a priceless feeling for me. My teaching style is uncomplicated and simple,so the student can keep up easily.Since language is best learned through repetition, I make sure I go over the material several times and proceed only when the student has a clear grasp of the material.
