My primary responsibility was to do planning, motivation, student self-assessment,individual performance that was teacher observed and on site assessment by the employer in a supported work environment.I've also taught Social Studies and Economics at the Secondary level. At the present, I am teaching Literacy and ESL at the Elmira Correctional Facility in Elmira, New York.

I graduated from Mansfield University with a BS degree in Elementary Education with honors. I taught a temporary position in third grade (all subject areas), then was asked by the school superintendent to substitute teach in Junior and Senior High School, and Special Education classes, which I did for four more years before I had to move out-of-state for my ex-husband's job. I just spent the last 15 years working for the NYS Dept. of Corrections in many areas. I gained much experience in all aspects of office work, including computers, writing, people skills, reports, counseling, math,etc. I am currently retiring, and would like a part-time position for added income while I attend college part-time.
